off topamax

i'm off of it. my last dose was yesterday at 8:30 a.m. & i feel like i am vibrating. i talked to my mom & a friend (holli) last night & i think they were both a bit taken aback by how chatty & odd i was acting & wow do i feel weird! but i'm still feeling all numb & tingly & all that jazz. if you want to talk, just call me, i will jabber on for hours. really! but more great news is that i suddenly have this terrible sinus cold. seriously, i'm just laughing about getting sick anymore. it's laughable. wes heard on npr the other day that researchers are finding that some genes are more prone to getting all the little bugs & have lower immunities. i think i should enter this study... i am not about to take cold medicine with topamax in my system, though...i don't want to be streaking through the neighborhood or anything jabbering on & on about dreams i'm having (topamax causes some crazy dreams as well). moving on...

in case you're not already thinking this: if adeline won't learn to talk within the next few days, it's not for lack of me trying ;o) i'm a blabbering fool right now.

by the way, amelia is sleeping very well at night now. she's only crying for at the most 10 minute stretches at night (more during nap times if she so chooses, what a little stinker for her mama). she even slept totally through the night on monday, 10 straight hours! we all gave her a high five in the morning. so apparently our kids just need more of that durn structure in their sleep patterns. silly me with my random daily routines. what kind of a mama am i?!

also, any thoughts or helpful ways to get your older child to share their toys with the younger child? amelia is starting to investigate adeline's toys...legos, puzzle pieces, books, etc. all things that addy cherishes & doesn't want to share. she will absolutely go into a time out instead of sharing. (that would be twice already this morning). it's driving me crazy! one of the few words addy knows is 'MINE!' why can't it be 'thank you' or 'please'? ya know?! she even gave millie a little shove today when millie got too close to her prized alphabet puzzle pieces (that addy had swept into a pile as far away as possible from amelia...but millie is now very mobile with her little moves & turns & army crawling, so what millie wants, millie gets & adeline was oh, very mad). anyway, any ideas would be very much appreciated!

i think i am going to start taking the paper snowflake cut outs down from the window, one by one, so as not to anger or disturb the snow gods & goddesses...lol. i'm hoping by the time they are all down, spring will have sprung. the tulips in our front flower bed are nearly a foot tall already! i fear for their lives, but...they are brave little ones. i think they will make it to bloom!
