i woke up this morning in a panic...we haven't done any christmas shopping *at all*! none, zilch, nada. & it's going to be thanksgiving this thursday, which means our part of town (the polaris area) is going to be BUSTING with traffic, making it nearly impossible to get around. i tried to make a mental note last year to get christmas shopping done early b/c of this traffic problem (hint: it normally takes us 5 sometimes 10 minutes to get to the polaris mall. from thanksgiving to around january 3rd, it will take about 15 - 20 minutes. one time last year it took me 40 minutes to get home--i believe that was the mental note day).
so now i'm frantically trying to jot down ideas for the girls gifts, for extended family, stocking stuffers, finish the gerbickian calendar for 2010 (is it really going to be 2010 already?! i mean, didn't y2k *just* happen?)...
& this doesn't help at all: wes is tired, beat, exhausted. i think it has something to do with amelia getting another tooth & having a cold (& she's on antibiotics, which makes her crap 8 times a day & i so wish i was kidding about that. it's red poop too, even better, eh?!) then adeline getting a sinus/chest cold *again*. it's enough to drive a person to make a cheeseball & then eat it *all* in one sitting. (that would be me, yes--hey, i keep loosing weight for some reason so dr im was like 'well, eat more? we'll see' but i seem to be going in reverse of prego-heidi, losing a pound a week instead of gaining a pound a week. it's kind of unsettling. i thought it was fine & dandy until i passed my pre-adeline-pregnancy weight...now, yes, *unsettling*).
so i'm writing this to get it off my chest before i go out while wes is napping with the non-napping adeline & buy all the gifts at once (only to then return most of them next week b/c i'll be all 'why did i buy all these gifts?!'). & i'm waiting for 128 pictures to upload to shutterfly for the gerbickian 2010 calendar. (family: get your requests in now if you want one! we only have 1 coupon for free shipping! lol cheap bastards, yes).

Oh, the traffic has already started here. I went out in the afternoon and it was horrible. I cut my trip short. Good luck.
