simply frigid

check out the ice on our door

then the ice on top of the sliding glass door...i think we need to replace this relic as it is the only window in our house with ice on it!

& now that we see a picture of it, this thermometer is really old & nasty! buy hey, it came with the house!
so the official gerbick thermometer says -10. safe to say we are going nowhere today (until our date night tonight...i guess we can't be picky about the temperature when friends offer to babysit!). most (if not all) schools are closed here, but wes still has to work.

an update on the state of our illnesses: adeline now has a noisy cold. poor girl, what next?!

we hope everyone is able to stay warm today.

Glad to see Wes finally got some snow.... Cleveland station said Wooster was -13 this morning..... pretty durned cold.

I was amazed at how many Amish buggies were out yesterday - and little, little Amish kids walking home from school...... THAT part of my german ancestry is hibernating.

the insides of almost all of our windows have ice on them. oh the benefits of a 1920s era apartment!

i remember our 1940's clintonville house had ice on every window...i'm sure your apartment has much more charm than our 1970's 'big ugly' as i lovingly call it.
i also remember living a farm house where the curtains moved & the upstairs didn't have heat. now THAT was cold.
