winter wonderland in our backyard

wes had the day off today due to the level 2 snow emergency going on here. we're having a little bit of a snow situation in ohio. in columbus, it's more like an ice & snow situation...last night we were on the edge of the snow & ice, so we got both in layers. thankfully, westerville really is awesome about plowing the roads, even in our measly subdivision. i knew there was a good reason we pay more than columbus in taxes. anyway, below i have a classic shot of the plow truck backing up into the lightpost in our front yard. i was watching him for awhile & then suddenly BAM, right into it he went. pretty funny to see someone run into something like that (hhhmm, like my husband did with the moving trucks?!). this picture was taken at 1:14 pm...

shot of the swingset. i think we had 2 inches of snow yesterday, then 1/2 inch of ice last night, then another 6 inches of snow today. crazy!!

so being stuck inside, i made exactly what sounded wonderful: homemade vanilla pudding. oh yum yum. then i made banana chocolate chip muffins b/c adeline has eaten nearly all 16 of the rasberry muffins i made on sunday already.

i have much more to say about "stuff" but i am way too tired. these sick kids & me being sick, well, i'm just very tired from it all. i think millie & i are finally getting over it. we're just really hoping she sleeps well tonight.
