gosh, it was 7 years ago when wes & i were stranded in pennsylvania with his friends, tim & joy. well, we weren't exactly stranded...we were at their house which was in a kids' camp. BUT it was that blizzard of 2003 & in this part of PA the accumulation was well over 18 inches, maybe even 2 feet?
this was the weekend of love, as wes & i like to call it...the weekend that we told each other we wouldn't so much mind marrying each other. & yes, it was over valentine's day weekend, etc. yes, our first official valentine's day meal was at denny's. seriously romantic, eh? *meh* neither of us are particularly romantic-ish, so it's all hunkey dory.
& here we are 7 years later, on nearly the same weekend, getting some heavy snow. but not a denny's in sight. we haven't even talked to each other about valentine's day yet, what we plan or hope to do, are we exchanging gifts or cards or just hugs (lol, modern family!). i'm guessing this is normal after 7 years & with two kids, in the middle of winter (which should really be changed to a name that implies 'the time of illness'). maybe we should start trying to get our girls involved in our valentine's day plans...make it a family occasion?
