...smell my feet...

we gave addy the option of three outfits: superwoman (my choice...i just love her in those boots!), princess, & cheerleader. the pom poms made it a tough decision for her, as did the superwoman cape, but the princess won out. this year she is lucky enough to have all these choices b/c her birthday was a dress up theme (minus the party for certain reasons like way stressed out & tired parents w/ a newborn).

we started getting her dressed 30 minutes before beggar's night started & by 5:45 she was in meltdown mode b/c she wanted to go NOW. in fact, once we got the dress on her, she was pretty upset in general. it seems she likes dresses, but just not when wearing them? & she is always trying to get into my make up bag, so tonight i put a bit of blush & gloss on her & she hated it...not such the girly girl we thought she was! anyway, we couldn't find her fake crowns from grandma sue, so she's wearing the tierra that i wore for our wedding. how is it that i know where the tierra is which is from 5 years ago, but not where a fake crown is from 1 month ago?
she finally smiled for us & it's totally a fake one.
what a distressed look
okay, i couldn't help it, these shoes are so funny on her. we call them her 'stripper shoes'...for obvious reasons. anyway, she LOVES them, but we made her wear more sensible shoes for walking (the mama kind: man shoes. why is it that men's shoes seem more comfortable? they weren't really men's or even boy's, just regular tennies, which look classic with a princess dress).

the sad princess wanting to go NOW NOW NOW. so we gave her a sucker to calm her down...b/c we are suckers.
FINALLY, time to go.
